Camp Chef DOLL14 Cast Iron 14-Inch Dutch Oven Lid Lifter for Dutch Ovens

Much more secure than the regular lid lifters
This lid lifter is better than the standard ones from Lodge that everyone buys. It may not be as decorative as the Lodge lid lifter, but it holds the lid much more secure...and that's what you really want in this type of product.

It has a little foam piece around the part where you put your palm, which is nice.

All you do is put the middle hook in the dutch oven lid loop, pull up on the T-bar with your fingers and the hook pulls the lid up tight against the three prongs.

Very secure. I just used it on my 7 quart Lodge Dutch Oven lid over the weekend.

Good stuff
Love this handle, much easier to use than my other Lodge handle. The ability to tilt the lid and keep it locked, sets this handle apart. I highly recommend it.

Can't be without it
I purchased the lid lifter after using my dutch oven once without it. I tried a couple of tools and was able to get the lid off with another tool but it was difficult to do so without getting ashes into the food. This lid lifter takes care of that. Just slip the middle piece under the lid, pull the handle and pick it up, the three legs keep the lid from wobbling, preventing us from having to eat ashes with our dinner.
Two fellow campers that also use dutch ovens tried to find a lifter locally. There were a few out there but none came close so now they each have one of these. If you have a dutch oven get yourself one.
