Zwilling J.A. Henckels Twin Four Star 5-Inch High Carbon Stainless-Steel Serrated Utility Knife

Top Quality, Long Lasting
We purchased a Henckels Four-Star set about ten (10) years ago and use it daily. Out of the set of six or seven knives, this utility knife is our most frequently used. It is extremely useful in food preparation, holds an edge longer than the other non-serrated knives, and isn't affected by dish-washer abuse.

This is a great product that will last you many years. One caveat: NEVER allow your MOTHER-IN-LAW to borrow it and use it as a screwdriver. It will be ruined - hence my purchase of a second one of these knives.

Henckel Quality and Versatility
I love all my Henckel knives, but this one is definitely the most versatile. It's 5" length and super sharp serrated blade make it ideal for vegetables as well as meats and smaller bread loaves. If you're not going to buy an entire set of quality knives, you really should have this one amongst the few you choose.

A terrific knife
This is a great, basic serrated knife. Not too big, not too small. Works wonderfully for a variety of kitchen jobs, including hard cheeses, tomatoes, cooked meats.

This is my second one. My first one got "borrowed" -- and I couldn't make it a week without buying the replacement! (The first one was at least 10 years old, and it looked as good and worked as well as the day I bought it...even though my husband kept putting it in the dishwasher instead of washing it by hand. Grrr.)

BergHOFF Earthchef 7-Inch Try Me Skillet

Mean, Clean Cooking Machine
I liked the idea of non-stick pans being made without hazardous materials, so I decided to try this skillet. It's EXCELLENT, and worth a lot more than it cost! Nothing sticks to it, not even water! I washed the pan before I used it, dumped out the water, and there was nothing left - completely dry! I mostly use it to cook eggs for breakfast, and no matter what I do, I can't get anything to stick to the darn thing! Just wipe it lightly and it's ready to go again.

Oh, and regarding the handle heating, which one or two other reviewers mentioned - don't worry about it. It's only an issue if you have the flame set so wide that you're heating the sides of the skillet instead of the bottom, which is wasteful as well as counterproductive. It only takes a small flame to develop sufficient, even heat under this sucker. I've left it on the burner for more than twenty minutes and I can still pick it up bare handed. I intend to get the larger version too. This company makes...

DO NOT BUY - Is not stick free after 1 month
Poor product - Poor customer service - Would not buy again for half the price

Warning: First time reviewer here, but I use the reviews of products exclusively on whether or not to purchase products on amazon.com. I do not want any other users to go through the same poor customer service I did only to gain nothing.

I have purchased a set of Berghoff Scala Ceramic coated frying pans. I used the main 12" pan for about a month. As time progresses the pan started to stick. I contacted the customer service dept. that told me to deep clean the pan with baking soda and water. After it was dry add oil to the pan while slowly reheating it. I did this several times to cure my pan as suggested by the customer service rep. He assured me that it would take some time for this to work. This took place over 4 months after purchasing the set. I then got preoccupied when moving into my renovated kitchen. After dealing with my renovation I found the pan again. It was now 12 months...

Great for Glass-top cooking
I have had this product (imported from a friend in Canada) for months, and use it almost daily. On a glass cooking surface, the handle is a non-issue - not hot to the touch as long as the proper burner size is selected. I can see how gas would have a bad effect, though! Non-stick is really a dream, and even stands up to high-heat cooking without damage. I have not noticed any flavors in the food. As a matter of fact, I can finally taste my food. Maybe the other reviewer has a bad pan? Or maybe my taste buds are not picking it up... At any rate, I am buying more of these, as they appear to be safe to cook with (no chemicals).

Eco Life Aluminum 8-Inch and 10-Inch Fry Pan, 2-Pack

Great nonstick pans!
I recently purchased a roasting pan by the same company and loved the weight, size, and the fact that there are no PFO/PFTE used in making the pan. This lead me to give these frying pans a try and I have not been dissapointed. The sizes are great and the non-stick works perfectly. They may seem pricey but after researching many brands of safe non-stick pans that had poor reviews I am very happy that I decided to try the frying pans from Eco Life.

Some of the best
I am very picky about cookware. I have gone through many non stick pans through the years and these are some of the best. The coating is not just one of the most "non stick" that I have used, it is also one of the most durable. I have been using these pans for almost a year now and see almost no wear to the cooking surface. Overall if you are in need of a quality product for a reasonable price these are a good pick.

Good pans but inferior quality.
I made one exchange for this set of pans due to damage to cooking surface. Received the replacement set and has similar problems. We will try one more exchange and see how thing fair. The cooking experience is great and as advertised. Have not used any oil or butter so far when using these pans. Cleaning is also a breeze.

Farberware High Performance Nonstick 12" Covered Deep Skillet, Black

Perfect!
This pan was bought to replace another Farberware pan that had met the end of it's useful life.

It worked out perfectly. The size and depth are as advertised. Good product. I would re-purchase ad recommend.

Warped on low heat
I had high hopes for this skillet: deep, with a clear glass lid, and nonstick. Unfortunately, the bottom warped when I had it on low heat on my glass cooktop stove. This meant it was no longer in contact with part of the burner. It's going back. I have a great Farberware 12" nonstick skillet (with no lid) that is shallower and heavier; it is the "Classic Stainless Steel" but the nonstick coating was wearing off. I can't find the pan anymore although it's not that old.

Perfect pan
After 3 years of search I found the perfect pan. The non-stick surface means no oil. I made a hashbrown, eggs & cheese dish and it wiped right out. The depth is perfect for one-pan meals.

Trudeau Stainless Steel Vegetable Steamer

"heat-resistant plastic" parts not so heat resistant
I loved this little steamer when I first picked it up. It folds gracefully into a dish shape that fits variable width pans, it folds back into a disc for compact storage, the little holes in the metal are nicely spaced and the right width to let enough steam out but not let bits of the food being steamed fall into the boiling water. So far so good.

But, it has a plastic handle and little plastic feet that sit in between it and the inside of the pan you boil water in. When I first saw this I thought: "Huh. Plastic in a high-heat cooking tool. Ah well, it's probably some sort of strong, heat resistant plastic." Well yes, up to the temperature of boiling water, sure. But the temperature of the pan the little feet are sitting on is a bit hot for it. The feet (and part of the handle) actually melted into the metal disk and the bottom of the pan when I left the steamer on for a few minutes after taking out my steamed veggies. The smell of burnt plastic was just awful, and took...

Nice little steamer!
This may sound odd, but this is the first steamer that I have ever had. So needless to say, I do not have others to compare it to. However,I find that I use it more than I thought I would! The unfolded steamer fits perfectly in the pot that I most use for vegies and the like, and when I pull out the sides (the steaming tray) it fits nicely up the sides of the pot. Besides your basic steamed vegies, I find that it's perfect for warming up leftovers like rice, leaving it hot and fluffy. I like that the handle extends, so you can keep the cover on it while cooking, but you can extend the handle for easier lifting. And you can't beat the price!

Flimsy
For me, the whole point of this product was the large size, and the ability to pull the steamer out of the pot by the extendable handle. (I like to steam a lot of broccoli at once, in a large pot.) PROBLEM: When trying to lift the "loaded" steamer out of the pot, the handle pulled right off. The handle should be strong enough to lift the weight of the loaded steamer, otherwise what's the point of the large capacity? Very disappointing.

Bormioli Rocco Fido Glass Canning Jar Italian - 1 Liter

Keeps my coffee beans smelling great
Keeps the beans fresh as long as you avoid heat & light. Hasp worked well once I got used to it.

Great Jars
Great jars, the only ones that I own for canning, I could use nothing less. If you see something in my kitchen that is not that, I should be shot.

Great for pantry storage
I have several of these jars in muliple sizes and I use them to store dry goods in my pantry. The seals are tight fitting and the glass is heavy--sturdy. Since they are clear glass, I can see at a glance when my supply is getting low. When I have the need for more heavy glass jars, I will order these.
