Cuisinox Whistling Kettle

Good, basic kettle
Whistle is loud enough to hear when you're upstairs, but not ear-piercing when you're in the kitchen. Easy to clean, because of its removable lid. Handle is cool enough to hold right after water boils, and you don't get hit by the steam coming from the spout. Knob to open the spout gets a little warm, but not hot or untouchable. Also, no metallic taste that I can detect. Have had the kettle for a month or so, and no problems so far. Great kettle for making tea!

Best Kettle I've Found So Far
I am very happy with this kettle. It is 18/10 stainless steel and is not supposed to rust (I will update review at a later time if I discover rust). The kettle has a nice wide bottom so it heats water very quickly. And it has a nice wide mouth so it is easy to get inside and clean. I read the other reviews that said that the handle gets hot. I have not experienced this. My handle was cool to the touch when I removed the kettle from the burner. I did not need a hot pad and I could even remove the whistle attachment with my fingertips to pour. Granted, as soon as the kettle began whistling, I removed it from the burner within one or two minutes. I suppose if you left it boiling for ten or fifteen minutes, it might get pretty hot.

This kettle is labeled for use with induction cooktops, halogen, electric, radiant, gas, ceramic, and is dishwasher safe. The only bad thing I could say is that the whistle is very loud, but that is to be expected. The whistle reminds me...

This Kettle Rusts fast
I purchased this Kettle about 4 months ago. After 2 months I noticed some little pinhole size coloration inside the Kettle. Those little pinholes grew in size until they became very visible spots of rust. And the spots keep growing.
I boil three cups of water daily...not a heavy user and nevertheless this product is advetised as being real stainlesssteel...IT IS NOT!!!!

I wish I can send this back to Amazon but I think it is too late for that.
